Your product works. I'll make it easy to use.

A fixed-price UX audit of your product. You get a prioritized list of what's getting in your users' way, redesigns of the worst parts, and prompts your AI tool can build the fixes from.

15 years designing and building products for JPMorgan Chase, Santander, Trello, Miðeind and a long list of startups.

Sound familiar?

AI tools can build any feature you describe, in a reasonable spot, in minutes. Keep that up for a few months and you have a product where everything works, but new users can't figure out what to do first.

People sign up and never come back

They got in, looked around, and couldn't find the first thing to do.

Lots of support requests

People keep asking how to do things that are already in the product. They just can't find them.

New customers need a demo

If someone has to walk users through it, the product isn't doing that job.

Every screen feels a bit different

Each feature got built on its own, and it shows.

And asking the AI to "make the UX better" mostly just moves things around. I wrote about why.

What you get

Everything you need to start fixing things the day after handover, whether a person or an AI is doing the building.

Who it's for

Products with real users that grew faster than anyone could design them.

You built it with AI

Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, Bolt or v0 got you to a real product with real users. It works, but people get stuck, and there's no designer to ask why.

Your team ships faster than it designs

Your engineers use AI tools and ship every week. Each screen makes sense, but together they don't feel like one product anymore.

Engineers designed it

Internal tools, developer tools, data platforms and B2B products. Powerful, but new users need a demo to get going.

You have a big moment coming up

A fundraise, your first enterprise customers, a launch or a redesign, and you want experienced eyes on the product before then.

You want a second opinion

You have a designer, maybe a junior one or someone stretched too thin, and you want a senior look at what they're too close to see.

Not a fit

Prototypes without users yet, and marketing websites. There's not enough to go on, or it's a different job.

How it works

Three weeks from kickoff to handover. You'll always know what I'm working on.

  1. 1
    Today

    Book your audit

Send a short request. Within a business day I'll check it's a good fit and send you an invoice. Once it's paid, we schedule the kickoff.

  2. 2
    Week 1

    Kickoff

A call to understand your product and users. We pick the three workflows that matter most, and you give me access.

  3. 3
    Week 2

    Review

I go through the product as a new user and as an expert, map each workflow end to end, and dig through your analytics and support data. Accessibility gets a spot check too.

  4. 4
    Week 3

    Handover

The issue list, redesigns, prompts, rules file and recorded walkthrough. Plus a live call if you want one.

Recent work

When I started on Málstaður, Miðeind's AI language tools for Icelandic, it was a handful of separate tools that happened to share a navbar. Each had its own brand and its own primary color.

My first review boiled down to one question: what do you want this to be?

Questions

How does booking work?

Send a short request about your product. Within a business day I’ll take a look, confirm it’s a good fit and send an invoice. Your start week is held for 7 days while it’s paid. Then you get a link to book the kickoff call, and the three weeks start from there.

What do you need from us?

Access to the product (a test account is fine), whatever analytics and support data you have, and one person on your side who can answer questions.

Why not just ask the AI to improve the UX?

You can try, but it mostly moves things around. AI can build any feature you describe. It can’t tell which three of them a new user actually needs. I wrote more about that here.

Do you need access to our code?

No, access to the product is enough. Read access to the codebase helps me write a better rules file, but it’s optional.

We don't have analytics set up. Is that a problem?

Not at all. More of the time goes into the review, and I’ll tell you what’s worth tracking going forward.

What if it turns out not to be a good fit?

If you don’t think it’s a fit after the kickoff call, let me know within 24 hours and you get a full refund. No awkward conversation needed. After that I start the work, and the audit can’t be refunded.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes, happy to.
