Coworking spaces in Iceland
Every time I’ve gone looking for a coworking space in Iceland I’ve ended up digging through outdated aggregator sites and Facebook posts. So here is my own list, which I’ll try to keep up to date. Prices change, so check with each space before you show up.
Last updated: October 2026. Know of a space that’s missing? Let me know.
Reykjavík
Kapellan
A coworking space in an old chapel at Vesturhlíð 7, right by the Öskjuhlíð forest trails, about five minutes by car from downtown. Opens in November 2026. Fixed desks start at 65.000 kr/month (+VAT), and there are team offices for 4–8 people. 24/7 access, meeting rooms, phone booths, showers, free parking and a café and flower shop in the building.

.Haus (Hafnar.haus and Hlemmur.haus)
A non-profit creative community with two downtown locations: Hafnar.haus above the Reykjavík Art Museum in Hafnarhús, and Hlemmur.haus. It has almost 200 private studios, which usually have a waiting list, and an open-plan coworking space (Flex). Members get meeting rooms, a photo studio, a podcast studio and cheap communal lunches. There are also lots of events, workshops and markets. The 500+ members are mostly creative people: musicians, writers, designers, developers, filmmakers and artists.

Gróska
A large innovation hub at Kristínargata 1 in Vatnsmýri, next to the University of Iceland. They rent out offices, desks in shared office cores, and meeting rooms. It’s full of startups and creative companies. There is a World Class gym with saunas on the ground floor, the Eiriksdóttir restaurant on the first floor, underground parking and bike storage. Prices aren’t listed, so email them.

Sjávarklasinn (Iceland Ocean Cluster)
An old fish-processing building at Grandagarður 16, out on the harbour by Grandi. It’s a hub for ocean-related startups and companies, but it also has an open workspace, offices for startups and meeting rooms to rent. Get in touch for prices and availability. They also give tours of the building.

Kjarval
A members’ club with a workspace and lounge on the top floor of a historic building facing Austurvöllur, in the middle of downtown. You can apply for membership or a private office on their website.

Tæknisetur
An innovation and technology hub in Árleynir 2–8 in Grafarholt, on the eastern edge of Reykjavík. Three buildings with small and large offices for about 200 people, mostly startups and entrepreneurs. There’s a prototyping workshop with a mill, lathe, welding gear and 3D printers, plenty of meeting rooms, two bigger halls for events and a canteen. No prices listed, so get in touch.

Regus
The international chain has several locations in Reykjavík, including Laugavegur 13 downtown. Day passes, hot desks and dedicated desks are available. Not the most charming option, but easy to book online.
Outside Reykjavík
Betri Stofan – Hafnarfjörður
A space on the 7th floor of Norðurturn Fjarðarins (Fjarðargata 13–15) in the centre of Hafnarfjörður, with a view over the sea. It offers memberships and can also be rented for workshops, meetings and events.

Skúrin – Flateyri
A small coworking space at Ránargata 1 in Flateyri, in the Westfjords. Desks on short or long term, a meeting room for up to 8 people with video conferencing, and as the website says, unlimited good coffee.
Regus – Akureyri
Coworking and offices at Hafnarstræti 93–95 in the centre of Akureyri. Day passes available.
Regus – Ísafjörður
Hot desks and offices at Pólgata 1 in Ísafjörður.
Egilsstaðir
There is a Regus workspace at the Lake Hotel (Egilsstöðum 1–2) in Egilsstaðir, with hot desking by the day or month and free parking.
